May He who blessed our fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless (name) son of (father s name) because he has come up the honor of the Shabbat (

Kaddish is not said after the completion of the Torah reading. Before raising the Sefer Torah it should be rolled open to reveal at least three columns and one of the seams. When it is raised it should be turned to left and to the right so that the text is seem by all. As it is raised the congregation should stand, look at the Sefer Torah and say:

This is the Torah

which Moses placed before the children of Israel.

It is a tree of life for those who hold fast to it, and those who support it are fortunate. Its ways are pleasant ways, and all its paths are peace. Long life is at its right, riches and honor at its left. The Lord desired, for the sake of his [Israel s] righteousness, to make the Torah great and glorious.

The Torah is then lowered and rolled closed, with a seam centered between the two handles, it is then raised and the bearer sits with the Torah. A second person, should dress the Torah placing the belt at the top of the lower third of the Sefer Torah, followed by the mantle, followed by the crown. As the Torah is being dressed the chazzan recites the Hatzi-Kaddish, as follows. In the following prayer the congregation responds with the phrases in parenthesis:

Exalted and hallowed be His great Name. (Cong: Amen.) Throughout the world which He has created according to His will. May He establish His kingship, bring forth His redemption and hasten the coming of His Mashiach. (Cong: Amen.) In your lifetime and in your days and in the lifetime of the entire House of Israel, speedily and soon, and say, Amen.

(Cong: Amen. May His great Name be blessed forever and to all eternity. Blessed.)

May His great Name be blessed forever and to all eternity. Blessed and praised, glorified, exalted and extolled, honored, adored and lauded be the Name of the Holy One, blessed be He. (Cong: Amen.) Beyond all the blessings, hymns, praises and consolations that are uttered in the world; and say, Amen. (Cong: Amen.)

Then the Torah is returned to the Ark at this point being carried in the right arm, the following is recited by the chazzan:

Let them praise the Name of the Lord, for His Name is sublimely exalted.

The congregation then responds:
