A song of ascents. Behold, bless the Lord, all servants of the Lord who stand in the house of the Lord at night. Raise your hands in holiness and bless the Lord. May the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion. By day the Lord ordains His kindness, and at night His song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life. The deliverance of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in time of distress. The Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they have put their trust in Him.

In the presence of a minyan the Chazzan recites the Hatzi-Kaddish, as follows. In the following prayer the congregation responds with the phrases in parenthesis:

Exalted and hallowed be His great Name. (Cong: Amen.) Throughout the world which He has created according to His will. May He establish His kingship, bring forth His redemption and hasten the coming of His Mashiach. (Cong: Amen.) In your lifetime and in your days and in the lifetime of the entire House of Israel, speedily and soon, and say, Amen.

(Cong: Amen. May His great Name be blessed forever and to all eternity. Blessed.)

May His great Name be blessed forever and to all eternity. Blessed and praised, glorified, exalted and extolled, honored, adored and lauded be the Name of the Holy One, blessed be He. (Cong: Amen.) Beyond all the blessings, hymns, praises and consolations that are uttered in the world; and say, Amen. (Cong: Amen.)

The chazzan and congregation bow as he says:

Bless the Lord who is blessed.

The congregation, followed by the chazzan, responds bowing as he says “בָּרוּךְ” and straitening up at יְיָ :

Blessed be the Lord who is blessed for all eternity.
