אַשְׁרֵי יוֹשְׁבֵי בֵיתֶֽךָ עוֹד יְהַלְלֽוּךָ סֶּֽלָה:

Happy are those who dwell in Your House; they will yet praise You forever.

אַשְׁרֵי הָעָם שֶׁכָּֽכָה לּוֹ אַשְׁרֵי הָעָם שֶׁיְיָ אֱלֹהָיו:

Happy is the people whose lot is thus; happy is the people whose God is the Lord.

תְּהִלָּה לְדָוִד אֲרוֹמִמְךָ אֱלוֹהַי הַמֶּֽלֶךְ וַאֲבָרְכָה שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד:

A psalm of praise by David: I will exalt You, my God the King, and bless Your Name forever.

בְּכָל־יוֹם אֲבָרְכֶֽךָּ וַאֲהַלְלָה שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד:

Every day I will bless You, and extol Your Name forever.

גָּדוֹל יְיָ וּמְהֻלָּל מְאֹד וְלִגְדֻלָּתוֹ אֵין חֵֽקֶר:

The Lord is great and exceedingly exalted, and there is no limit to His greatness.

דּוֹר לְדוֹר יְשַׁבַּח מַעֲשֶׂיךָ וּגְבוּרֹתֶֽיךָ יַגִּֽידוּ:

One generation to another will laud Your works, and tell of Your mighty acts.

הֲדַר כְּבוֹד הוֹדֶֽךָ וְדִבְרֵי נִפְלְאֹתֶֽיךָ אָשִֽׂיחָה:

I will speak of the splendor of Your glorious majesty and of Your wondrous deeds.

וֶעֱזוּז נוֹרְאֹתֶֽיךָ יֹאמֵרוּ וּגְדֻלָּתְךָ אֲסַפְּרֶֽנָּה:

They will proclaim the might of Your awesome acts, and I will recount Your greatness.

זֶֽכֶר רַב־טוּבְךָ יַבִּֽיעוּ וְצִדְקָתְךָ יְרַנֵּֽנוּ:

They will express the remembrance of Your abounding goodness, and sing of Your righteousness.

חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם יְיָ אֶֽרֶךְ אַפַּֽיִם וּגְדָל־חָֽסֶד:

The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and of great kindness.

טוֹב־יְיָ לַכֹּל וְרַחֲמָיו עַל־כָּל־מַעֲשָׂיו:

The Lord is good to all, and His mercies extend over all His works.

יוֹדֽוּךָ יְיָ כָּל־מַעֲשֶֽׂיךָ וַחֲסִידֶֽיךָ יְבָרְכֽוּכָה:

Lord, all Your works will give thanks to You, and Your pious ones will bless You.

כְּבוֹד מַלְכוּתְךָ יֹאמֵרוּ וּגְבוּרָתְךָ יְדַבֵּֽרוּ:

They will declare the glory of Your kingdom, and tell of Your strength.

לְהוֹדִֽיעַ לִבְנֵי הָאָדָם גְּבוּרֹתָיו וּכְבוֹד הֲדַר מַלְכוּתוֹ:

To make known to men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom.

מַלְכוּתְךָ מַלְכוּת כָּל־עֹלָמִים וּמֶמְשַׁלְתְּךָ בְּכָל־דּוֹר וָדֹר:

Your kingship is a kingship over all worlds, and Your dominion is throughout all generations.

סוֹמֵךְ יְיָ לְכָל־הַנֹּפְלִים וְזוֹקֵף לְכָל־הַכְּפוּפִים:

The Lord supports all who fall, and makes erect all who are bent.

עֵינֵי־כֹל אֵלֶֽיךָ יְשַׂבֵּֽרוּ וְאַתָּה נוֹתֵן־לָהֶם אֶת־אָכְלָם בְּעִתּוֹ:

The eyes of all look expectantly to You, and You give them their food at the proper time.

פּוֹתֵֽחַ אֶת־יָדֶֽךָ וּמַשְׂבִּֽיעַ לְכָל־חַי רָצוֹן:

You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

צַדִּיק יְיָ בְּכָל־דְּרָכָיו וְחָסִיד בְּכָל־מַעֲשָׂיו:

The Lord is righteous in all His ways, and benevolent in all His deeds.

קָרוֹב יְיָ לְכָל־קֹרְאָיו לְכֹל אֲשֶׁר יִקְרָאֻֽהוּ בֶאֱמֶת:

The Lord is close to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.

רְצוֹן־יְרֵאָיו יַעֲשֶׂה וְאֶת־שַׁוְעָתָם יִשְׁמַע וְיוֹשִׁיעֵם:

He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him, hears their cry, and delivers them.

שׁוֹמֵר יְיָ אֶת־כָּל־אֹהֲבָיו וְאֵת כָּל־הָרְשָׁעִים יַשְׁמִיד:

The Lord watches over all who love Him, and will destroy all the wicked.

תְּהִלַּת יְיָ יְדַבֶּר פִּי וִיבָרֵךְ כָּל־בָּשָׂר שֵׁם קָדְשׁוֹ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד:

My mouth will utter the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless His holy Name forever.

וַאֲנַֽחְנוּ נְבָרֵךְ יָהּ מֵעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָם הַלְלוּיָהּ:

And we will bless the Lord from now to eternity. Praise the Lord.

On days when Tachnun is not said, Lamnatzeach is omitted.

לַמְנַצֵּחַ מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד׃

For the choirmaster, a psalm by David.

יַעַנְךָ יְיָ בְּיוֹם צָרָה, יְשַׂגֶּבְךָ שֵׁם ׀ אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב׃

May the Lord answer you on the day of distress; may the Name of the God of Jacob fortify you.

יִשְׁלַח־עֶזְרְךָ מִקֹּדֶשׁ, וּמִצִּיּוֹן יִסְעָדֶךָּ׃

May He send your help from the Sanctuary, and support you from Zion.

יִזְכֹּר כׇּל־מִנְחֹתֶךָ, וְעוֹלָתְךָ יְדַשְּׁנֶה סֶלָה׃

May He remember all your offerings, and always accept favorably your sacrifices.

יִתֶּן־לְךָ כִלְבָבֶךָ, וְכׇל־עֲצָתְךָ יְמַלֵּא׃

May He grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill your every counsel.

נְרַנְּנָה ׀ בִּישׁוּעָתֶךָ, וּבְשֵׁם־אֱלֹהֵינוּ נִדְגֹּל, יְמַלֵּא יְיָ כׇּל־מִשְׁאֲלוֹתֶיךָ׃

We will rejoice in your deliverance, and raise our banners in the name of our God; may the Lord fulfill all your wishes.

עַתָּה יָדַעְתִּי, כִּי הוֹשִׁיעַ ׀ יְיָ מְשִׁיחוֹ, יַעֲנֵהוּ מִשְּׁמֵי קׇדְשׁוֹ, בִּגְבֻרוֹת יֵשַׁע יְמִינוֹ׃

Now I know that the Lord has delivered His anointed one, answering him from His holy heavens with the mighty saving power of His right hand.

אֵלֶּה בָרֶכֶב וְאֵלֶּה בַסּוּסִים, וַאֲנַחְנוּ ׀ בְּשֵׁם־יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ נַזְכִּיר׃

Some [rely] upon chariots and some upon horses, but we [rely upon and] invoke the Name of the Lord our God.

הֵמָּה כָּרְעוּ וְנָפָלוּ, וַאֲנַחְנוּ קַּמְנוּ וַנִּתְעוֹדָד׃

They bend and fall, but we rise and stand firm.

יְיָ הוֹשִׁיעָה, הַמֶּלֶךְ יַעֲנֵנוּ בְיוֹם־קׇרְאֵנוּ׃

Lord, deliver us; may the King answer us on the day we call.

And a redeemer shall come to Zion and to those in Jacob who repent of [their] transgression, says the Lord. And as for Me, this is My covenant with them, says the Lord: My spirit which is upon you and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your children, nor from the mouth of your children’s children, declares the Lord, from now to eternity. And You, holy One, are enthroned upon the praises of Israel. And [the angels] call to one another and say, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.” And they receive [sanction] one from the other, and say, “Holy in the loftiest, most sublime heavens, the abode of His Divine Presence; holy upon earth, the work of His might; holy forever and to all eternity—is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is filled with the radiance of His glory.” And a wind lifted me, and I heard behind me a great, roaring sound, “Blessed be the glory of the Lord from its place.” And a wind lifted me, and I heard behind me a mighty, thunderous sound of those who utter praises and say, “Blessed be the glory of the Lord from the place, the abode of His Divine Presence.” The Lord will reign forever and ever. The sovereignty of the Lord is established forever and to all eternity. Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel our fathers, keep this forever as the desire, the intention, of the hearts of Your people, and turn their hearts to You. And He, being compassionate, pardons iniquity, and does not destroy; time and again He turns away His anger, and does not arouse all His wrath. For You, my Lord, are good and forgiving, and abounding in kindness to all who call upon You. Your righteousness is everlasting righteousness; Your Torah is truth. Show faithfullness to Jacob, kindness to Abraham, as You have sworn to our fathers from the days of yore. Blessed is the Lord who each day loads us [with beneficence], the God who is our deliverance forever. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our eternal stronghold. Lord of hosts, happy is the man who trusts in You. Lord, deliver us; may the King answer us on the day we call. Blessed is He, our God, who has created us for His glory, has set us apart from those who go astray, has given us the Torah of truth, and has implanted within us eternal life. May He open our heart to His Torah, instill in our heart love and awe of Him, and [inspire us] to do His will and serve Him with a perfect heart, so that we shall not labor in vain, nor produce [that which will cause] dismay. And so, may it be Your will, Lord our God and God of our fathers, that we observe Your statutes in this world, and merit to live, to behold, and to inherit the goodness and blessing of the Messianic era and the life of the World to Come. Therefore my soul shall sing to You, and not be silent; Lord my God, I will praise You forever. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and the Lord will be his security. Trust in the Lord forever and ever, for in God the Lord is the strength of the worlds. Those who know Your Name put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You. The Lord desired, for the sake of his righteousness, to make the Torah great and glorious.

The chazzan recites Complete Kaddish. Congregation responds Amen as indicated.

יִתְגַּדַּֽל וְיִתְקַדַּֽשׁ שְׁמֵהּ רַבָּֽא. (אמן)

Exalted and hallowed be His great Name (Amen)

בְּעָלְמָֽא דִּי בְרָֽא כִרְעוּתֵהּ

throughout the world which He has created according to His will.

וְיַמְלִֽיךְ מַלְכוּתֵֽהּ, וְיַצְמַח פּוּרְקָנֵהּ וִיקָרֵב מְשִׁיחֵהּ. (אמן)

May He establish His kingship, bring forth His redemption and hasten the coming of His Mashiach (Amen)

בְּחַיֵּיכוֹן וּבְיוֹמֵיכוֹן וּבְחַיֵּֽי דְכָל־בֵּֽית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל, בַּעֲגָלָא וּבִזְמַֽן קָרִיב וְאִמְרֽוּ אָמֵֽן:

in your lifetime and in your days and in the lifetime of the entire House of Israel, speedily and soon, and say, Amen.

לְעֵֽלָּא מִן כָּל־בִּרְכָתָא וְשִׁירָתָא, תֻּשְׁבְּחָתָא וְנֶחֱמָתָא, דַּאֲמִירָן בְּעָלְמָֽא, וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן:

beyond all the blessings, hymns, praises and consolations that are uttered in the world; and say, Amen. (Amen)

תִּתְקַבֵּל צְלוֹתְהוֹן וּבָעוּתְהוֹן דְּכָל־בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל,

May the prayers and supplications of the entire House of Israel be accepted

קֳדָם אֲבוּהוֹן דִּי בִשְׁמַיָּא וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן:

before their Father in heaven; and say, Amen. (Amen)

יְהֵא שְׁלָמָא רַבָּֽא מִן־שְׁמַיָּֽא וְחַיִּֽים טוֹבִֽים עָלֵֽינוּ וְעַל כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל וְאִמְרֽוּ אָמֵֽן:

May there be abundant peace from heaven, and a good life for us and for all Israel; and say, Amen. (Amen)

Take three steps back, then bow right, forward, left, and forward again while reciting He who makes peace.

עֹשֶֽׂה {{ayt:הַשָּׁלֽוֹם|default:שָׁלֽוֹם}} בִּמְרוֹמָֽיו הוּא יַעֲשֶֽׂה שָׁלֽוֹם עָלֵֽינוּ וְעַל כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל וְאִמְרֽוּ אָמֵֽן:

He who makes {{ayt:the peace|default:peace}} in His heavens, may He make peace for us and for all Israel; and say, Amen. (Amen)

On Mondays and Thursdays and other days when the Torah is read, the following is said as the Torah is returned to the Ark. The chazzan says:

יְהַלְלוּ אֶת־שֵׁם יְיָ כִּי־נִשְׂגָּב שְׁמוֹ לְבַדּוֹ:

Let them praise the Name of the Lord, for His Name is sublimely exalted.

The congregation responds:

הוֹדוֹ עַל־אֶֽרֶץ וְשָׁמָֽיִם:

His radiance is upon the earth and heavens.

וַיָּֽרֶם קֶֽרֶן לְעַמּוֹ תְּהִלָּה לְכָל־חֲסִידָיו, לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַם קְרֹבוֹ, הַלְלוּיָהּ:

He shall raise the glory of His people, [increase] the praise of all His pious ones, the children of Israel, the people close to Him. Praise the Lord.
